nixi 38 Posted May 17, 2014 Hey all, It's been awhile since i posted on the forum. I'm about 2 years post surgery and i cannot begin to tell you how this surgery has changed my life for the best. I feel amazing and i look so much better than i did. Unfortunately i discovered that i have gallstones and i'm not sure if this is a side effect of having the sleeve procedure. Has anyone experienced gallstones? If so what was the treatment of them? Hope to get some answers the pain is unbearable when it strikes. 1 BRG reacted to this
woo woo 872 Posted May 17, 2014 I think that they remove the gallbladder if the stones are bad enough or are recurring. I have heard many people say that gallstones can be a side effect of rapid massive weight loss. Good luck and congrats on your success 1 mentalistfan reacted to this
Nicolanz 1,484 Posted May 17, 2014 Remove your gallbladder. They don't get better. It's a side effect from losing weight with or without surgery. I had mine removed about 7 months after the sleeve. I tried everything to avoid surgery but nothing worked. The surgery was a breeze for me. I wish I would have had the surgery as soon as I was diagnosed with gallstones and not waited until an emergency situation. Good luck to you! 1 mentalistfan reacted to this
