Congratulations on your weightloss everyone! I live in Conroe, and had my surgery July 11, in Tijuana Mexico. Was a little scared, but a friend had gone a couple of years ago and had fabulous results, so I bit the bullet and did it. So glad I did! I was 255 the day I started my pre-op diet, I was 242 day of surgery, and today I am 229! I am so excited. I am on the full liquid diet until thursday, then I start the pureed diet. I am still hungry, I think. It may be all in my head though. I do fine when noone around me is eating, but as soon as I get around family and they are enjoying their meals I am like a mad person. I have cheated, one bite of a chicken leg, one bite of some cheese bread, and about 1/2 a teaspoon of peach cobbler - not all in one day. The chicken was the hardest on me, I felt it go down very slowly, felt nausous and swore I would never cheat again. Of course I did. Anyone else putting their lives on the line for just one bite? Why do we do this to ourselves? I beat myself up over it then drink my Soup or Protein shake. Anyone having issues with gas? I have never been a gassy person, but now it seems like I get gas just by drinking Water. Good luck to all! :D

March 17th Sleever from League City. UTMB Dr. Gomez did my surgery and have been very satisfied with the care. Dr. Gomez has a lot of experience and I had zero complications! Down almost 100 pounds since I started the process. Couldn't be happier.

I started program at UTMB out of Galveston. Very difficult time working with nurse practitioner, Jeanette Negrotto. Would not recommend clinic because they use para-proffesionals. Had surgery in December 2015 with Dr. Garth Davis. Very please with the surgery and after care. Highly recommend their program over UTMB.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.
