Dalwalsh, what is this linked from? Looks like an advertisement....

i put this out several months ago I had to let Alex know about it first. It was brought out in 2012 when Alex had the desperate forums. It is not an advertisement. It is a group of people who want to meet in a challenging atmosphere. We can cruise and lose weight. For those that are able there will be special activities ( exercise class every mornin).

By the way, I am the local support group leader for central FL.

I am a lapband patient. Originally it only went to the lapband group. Then my daughter had the sleeve done in TX. My daughter asked that I bring it up to the sleeve forum. I also brought it up to the gastric bypass group. Thank you for your concern. The cruise by the way has a very limited number of cabins so that's why it's urgent deposits be made by 5/28.

Hi,

The cruise has been postponed until 2015 because there was not enough interest. However,

It looks like there is a lot of interest for 2015. You can PM me with your e-mail address. Otherwise you can e-mail me at dawalsh2@aol.com and I will add you to the list. If you know of anymore sleevers please have them contact me. My daughter is a sleever as well and has expressed interest in it as well. Please let anyone else interested let me know and have them contact me as well. I've got some personal trainers who will be onboard to be giving free sessions. We're very excited about it and want to have at least 200 WLS passengers onboard. It should be awesome. Thanks for your interest!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair. Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end. That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
