mocchaeyes 0 Posted May 15, 2014 I recently had my band placed on 5/2/2014. So far so good. I've never had one moment of pain. I went back to work in one week and I also had my first fill (3 cc). I really must say this is definitely a lifestyle change. From the start of my liquid diet which was only one week (thank God) 4/25 to post-op appt I lost 21 lbs. Are there any tips and advice on how to be successful on this journey?
B-52 7,113 Posted May 15, 2014 Be careful what you ask for....after a lifetime of bad habits that made us what we are, being asked to change an entire life in as little as 12 weeks was the hardest phase of this....it took a good year to finally start finding that Groove....and I never do stop learning....had a big lesson just a few weeks ago.... But change is what it is all about......Good luck to you, and know that others have done this before you, and it does work!

gowalking 10,790 Posted May 15, 2014 Great start mocca. That's alot of weight to drop in the beginning. I'm sure you've heard alot of it already...eat smart, eat slow, small bites, etc. Can I give you a little different advice? Because you've already lost a great deal of weight, try not to weigh yourself too often. It might feel like you are failing (which you are not) once the weight loss slows down. Find NSVs instead of checking your numbers. That's the best thing you can do because there are alot more of those even if the scale isn't moving. Good luck and keep us posted!
