cccv4 85 Posted May 14, 2014 Hey all, I'm a month out of surgery and I am dying for a fill. I have absolutely NO restriction, and it feels like I didn't even have surgery. I'm hungry ALL of the time! I've felt like I don't even have the band. I'm sure I've gained the weight back that I put off. I was really beating myself up about it, but I know I'm not the first nor the last to go through this. I want to get a fill already so that I can get help cutting my ongoing hunger. Yesterday I started feeling a pain near my port area. It's nor like excruciating pain, but it's very sore and feels like a pulled muscle. I was on my belly watching TV, and when I rolled over, I felt pain. Is this normal? There isn't really any pain today, and no pain when I press on it. It was just while I would be on the bed that I was feeling that way.
2muchfun 8,927 Posted May 14, 2014 You could have stretched the port stitching to your abs. It will probably heal soon. Just don't expose it to being stretched. I have this counter in my office that I've leaned up against dozens of times and caught my port each time. It's a sharp pain but it goes away. You'd think I'd learn but noooooo. Re: being hungry. Yep, you've already read all the comments to newly banded patients and know what to expect and it goes without saying how much it sucks. Just try to eat healthy foods till you get the fill that gives you enough satiety. 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this
SillyAuntDi 1,610 Posted May 14, 2014 I'm rubbing my port site right now...I moved furniture this weekend and vaguely remember balancing a bookshelf in just the right spot on my belly. LOL So, I burp, my port hurts. I roll over in bed, my port hurts. It's going to be interesting doing crunches this afternoon with my trainer Hey...sounds like a good excuse to skip them this week <wink wink> 1 2muchfun reacted to this
