lark60 431 Posted May 14, 2014 I started eating fruit at about 4 months. Started with apple sauce. I would add fresh fruit to my shakes (melon, raspberries, strawberries, banana, mango, blue berries, black berries) and the blender allowed me to "eat" the fruit without having problems with texture. I was not able to eat an apple or an orange till 6 months. I am now 2 weeks shy of my 1 year anniversary and I still get most fruit with my Protein shakes. I made SF Jello with extra Protein (I add the profect protein shot and ice as the cold Water needed to make the jello) and added canned fruit (rinsed to remove the juice) and cottage cheese. This will be my snack tomorrow afternoon. I calculate there is 9 gm protein in a serving.
mollz007 60 Posted May 14, 2014 I like to add fresh bananas and blueberries to my shakes in the morning. I also sometimes eat the fruit cups with sliced peaches.
Carlotta1 401 Posted May 14, 2014 Usually two fruits a day. Most of the time I add this to my shake. pineapple, banana, strawberry, peach, pear, ...watermelon. Watch your portion.. 1/2 banana is one serving. 1/2 cup pineapple that I add to my cottage cheese is also 1 fruit serving. Watermelon is very high in sugar. Z1 limit myself to one cup.
