chris1142 148 Posted May 12, 2014 Love the Guy's sugar free mentioned. It ha 5 cal. In 2 tablespoons and tastes really good to me. They also make a spicier version but the original is hot enough for me. 1 lisavz reacted to this

une nouvelle vie 327 Posted November 18, 2014 @lisavz I'm curious how you ended up liking Guy's BBQ?
☠carolinagirl☠ 18,721 Posted November 18, 2014 (edited) i am from NC, and the best way one can control sugar/salt etc is to make your own sauce here is my fave NC vinegar (mop) sauce: 1 1/2 cups of distilled vinegar1 teaspoon hot sauce1 teaspoon brown sugar (but have used splenda before)1 tablespoon salt2 teaspoons crushed red pepper 2 teaspoons finely ground black pepper Then pour all the ingredients into a jar and shake. The more it settles, the better it becomes. Here is a quick go to BBQ/tomato based sauce: 2 1/2 c. catsup 1/4 c. brown sugar (you can lower this or use splenda)1 tbsp. mustard (add more mustard if you desire kick1/4 c. onions, diced (or use flakes) *for flavor add tabasco or even liquid smoke* mix it up and use Edited November 18, 2014 by ☠carolinagirl☠
