Surgery is scheduled for 10 am tomorrow. Been on Clear Liquids for the last week and was on full liquids the week before that. I'm ready to get on with this!

I wonder what the difference is... Why some are on the 2 week pre op diet and others the 3 day. Good luck tomorrow! :)

I had my surgery on April 7, its been a good ride, down about 50 lbs, but know that after surgery NOTHING is gonna smell or taste right or good. It took a month and things are getting back to normal for me, except the Constipation.

Good luck, you will do wonderful!

I went to two 711s in NYC they didn't have them. bummer! Xojessny, our day is fast approaching. What are you bringing to the hospital? Also, I'm going to put myself on Clear liquids 3 days before the surgery. It's odd that there are so many different pre-op diet and lengths. Mine being 4 weeks. I feel like it's been forever although easy not to think of what to have to eat 3 times a day.

Good luck ladies! I'm scheduled for the 21st. It is coming up really fast.

The pre-op diets are all over the place. I only have to do two weeks of Clear Liquids. No soda now or after surgery as well.

I thought the same about the clear diet sodas but again, it's all over the place. Haven't received instructions to go clear but see in the forums and other related materials that most doctors recommend it. I haven't had soda of any kind in 3-months, won't start know. I have not received my time yet. Wish they would provide it so I can make transportation plans and guardian plans for my child.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
