ukangel 0 Posted April 14, 2007 Hi I was banded in the UK on the 7th February 2007 I have not been given a date for a fill but feel that I need one. Is it too soon or is it ablut the right time for a fill? :hungry: I can eat way more than the small plate full that the dietician has described. I am loosing 1-2 lbs a week. Many thanks in anticipation of your help
reqgoddess 0 Posted April 14, 2007 ukangel, I just got my fill today. I think if you are losing 1-2 lbs a week, you are doing good. I had been stagnant for the last 3 weeks, so i think i definitely needed one. My doc gave me on today and gave me a little card with parameters on it which will tell me if I need more, less or I am just fine. I am on liquids today, so we will see about food tomorrow, but i can tell even with the liquids something is different (yipee!!).
ukangel 0 Posted April 14, 2007 That sounds exactly what I need. I know at the moment that there is a little restriction and I am also very nervous of eating certain foods but I also know that as time goes on I am becoming very daring and the portions are growing!!!:faint:
Yoda 0 Posted April 14, 2007 As long as you are losing 1-2 lbs a week, you don't need a fill.
juliegeraci 7 Posted April 14, 2007 You have the option of not getting a fill at 6 weeks if you are losing steadily. If you feel like you are consuming too much you definitely need a fill. Good luck. Julie
lrw26 0 Posted April 14, 2007 I think the average of first fills is 6 weeks. Even if you are losing 1-2 lbs a week you may still need one. If you think it is hard to resist the food and it is a struggle I definitely think you need one. The restriction will make it so much easier to not eat so much..
