CoachJosh 2 Posted May 12, 2014 Howdy everyone. So I am 5mos post-op, and before my surgery, I would have the occasional cigar during a spring/summer evening as I was sitting out on the deck. Just wondering if any other people have either started smoking, or smoked cigars post-op, and when. Im not a big smoker, but would like to start enjoying a cigar every once in awhile. Thanks for reading!

Savedbygrace22 28 Posted May 23, 2014 (edited) Coach Josh, Please re-think your desire to start smoking. You have done something wonderful for yourself and have gotten healthier as well; please don't take away from this good thing by smoking. Remember all the health risks that smoking causes. It's just not worth it. Sometimes we do things that are not good for us and think that it wont hurt. But if we continue and those times will eventually add up. Just like our weight problem. Now you have gotten a handle on the weight. You will only trade that problem for another if you chose to start another habit that is detrimental to your health. I wish you well in your journey. Heather_Feather 24 Posted May 24, 2014 Hi. I don't want to be attacked, but I smoked pre-op and continue to do so post-op. Please no lectures. We all have vices, and I am well aware of the dangers. Although likely no one will agree, I personally think a cigar (once in a blue moon) wouldn't be harmmful. Best of luck to you.
