Oh thank goodness! Im not the only one! Im 33 and have acne on my face like I was 14 going through puberty! I hate it! My mom says because when I work out I sweat a lot but I wash my face! And not everyone who works out and sweats has acne. Maybe it's from some hormonal crap from surgery . Please let me know if you come up with an answer and a cheap solution. Thank you :-)

Before surgery I had clear skin now it's awful! Please HELP!!

Do all of you also work out? And sweat buckets?

I haven't been working out so that's no excuse for the acne. At least not for me :)

Since surgery I've had acne on my jawline and chin, and nothing helped. Recently my pcp prescribed an antibiotic cream for my face (keep it refrigerated) and it cleared things up. Skin looks 100% better. I can still feel bumps under the skin though. Apparently it is most likely hormonal. Odd!

Since it's an antibiotic did insurance cover it? Or is it considered "cosmetic"?

I really need to know a good facial cleanser for oily skin! I am breaking out worse than I ever have! Even as a teen! I will wash my face and 30-45 minutes later my forehead is oily again! My Dr. said this acne was not brought on from my surgery but I personally think that's BS!! The acne didn't start until after surgery! Please help! I don't want a bangin' body with a zitty face. :-(

Most of the stores sell crappy products. You should try some dermalogica. But make sure you see an esthetician first. Some products help with oily skin while others are for normal or dry skin. You probably need a good cleanser, toner, moisturizer and some low glycolic acid product. But DO NOT just ask a clerk what they recommend. You need a professional to advise you.

The breakouts could be a number of things but diet is the most important cause of breakouts.

You should also try a different Shampoo. If you are getting comodones (the little bumps) try washing your hair so the shampoo and conditioner don't run off into your face. Just tilt you head back and let the shampoo run down your back instead of your face. Of your face clears up and you get bumps behind your ears and neck you have crappy products.

Antibiotics might help for a time but the acne just comes back and you cant take antibiotics forever.

Change in diet? I could see having acne when I ate 3000+ calories of carbs and fats a day giving me awful breakouts, but not how and what I eat now!

What about pro-active? Has anyone used this product? Did it work for you?

I'm 30, got sleeved on 4/28. I tend to have slight acne problems anyway but last night I went crazy. My face, chest, and back are TERRIBLE!!! my boyfriend tried to help last night with alcohol on my back last night. This is definitely the worst it's been. And my breath isn't so great either. Ahhh!! I'm a monster!!! Haha

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
