Samirax6 18 Posted May 12, 2014 I wanted to try a full liquid tonight, but was not sure what it should be. I was thinking of milk or a smoothie what is a good idea?
2muchfun 8,927 Posted May 12, 2014 What does your post op diet plan say? You should have received a dietary plan for post surgery or gone to a nutrition class that spells out what you can drink and eat? Most of us were on Clear Liquids for 3-14 days? Water, Crystal light, ice cubes, sugar free popsicles etc? 1 ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this

shantelw75 22 Posted May 12, 2014 I was experimenting a little before I got banded so I would know in advance what I would like. I tried 1% milk, chocolate carnation instant Breakfast, a little ice, a little Peanut Butter and a small banana blended. I also tried 1% milk, vanilla carnation instant breakfast, strawberries, bananas, and black berries. They were both delicious! My nutritionist told me I could also use silk instead of milk. It's half the calories and tastes so good!!! You could also put some yogurt in! Just make sure it's blended well so u have no chunks. Good luck!!! 1 Samirax6 reacted to this
2muchfun 8,927 Posted May 12, 2014 I went to Vitamin Cottage and bought a Protein Powder mix(chocolate). It's OK but I still have most of the original tub I bought. There are a lot of people here who have one or two shakes every day. I mixed mine with milk. I think you can add bananas and other fruits if you want? 1 Samirax6 reacted to this
tmposton 49 Posted May 17, 2014 My liquids phase is anything you can put through a straw. You just can't use a straw, of course. 1 dlamp112 reacted to this
