Recycled 2,182 Posted May 12, 2014 Anyone else out there dealing with this? Sure. Comes with the territory. I just take either pepcid AC or if I want instant relief, some Tums. I figure the Tums gives me plenty of Calcium anyway. Added note: whenever I lost a lot of weight in the past, the heartburn always went away.
PdxMan 4,292 Posted May 12, 2014 I have been fortunate to not have any issues with reflux. Had it terrible pre-op. But I believe, for me, eating slower, chewing ridiculously well and waiting and evaluating how I feel in between bites has something to do with it. I no longer rush my meals as I did pre-op and I don't eat before bedtime, which used to always cause me problems.
