klandrn 0 Posted May 24, 2008 I live in OFallon and was wondering where you get your fills? Thanks, klandrn
klandrn 0 Posted May 24, 2008 Cleopatra- Who does your fills? I live in Illinois and had my surgery done in Mexico and was looking for someone locally to do my fills. Thanks, klandrn
Missourimom 0 Posted May 24, 2008 I get mine a DePaul. You will find that alot of doctors only do fills for the patients they did the surgery on. Since you had your surgery in Mexico alot of doctors wont do your fills. You should try a fillcenterusa.com
rch3877 0 Posted May 24, 2008 Wife and I was banded 7 May and our 1st fill will be around 9 Jun. I have heard that Dr. Minkin will do fills on individuals he did not bannd himself. His office number is 314-291-6224. Good luck. Ray

cosmo24 0 Posted June 5, 2008 I took a trip to Dallas over Memorial day weekend and my band tightened up so much I was unable to eat or drink. It got better the next day and did not happen on the trip home. I called Nancy at DePaul and she said this happens sometime. Thanks for the heads up. Next time I fly I think I will get some Fluid taken out. Just thought I would let you all know. Maybe you all know this but if you don't I feel it's important. Chris61 0 Posted June 5, 2008 Thanks for the infor cosmo24. I was banded back in Sept. of 07 and had a fill in Oct. and later that week went flying and did not have a problem. It is amazing how everyone is differant with the band. We go to the see the doctor in a couple of weeks and hope to get another fill. I can tell that Iam ready for another one. Hope everyone is doing well and adjusting to new lifestyles. Chris
rch3877 0 Posted June 9, 2008 The best thing is to go to the seminar, they have all of the pamflets there, but cash is an option :-) he quotes 16,000 but someone said to add 1,000 for the gas passer, we used insurans BC/BS VA, they paid 100%, and there are a couple of places that will finance you with low rates. Good Luck
cosmo24 0 Posted June 12, 2008 Hey just wanted to let all of you out there that want a fun motivating way to work out to try the Wii Fit. It is really fun. It tracks your weight and BMI. It also gives you a chance to set goals and gives great advice. The first day my Wii age was 73 two days later I was down to 46. Still older than my real age but getting better. Please let me know if anyone else is using it. Hope all are doing well Annie

vra123456 3 Posted June 26, 2008 :laugh:I am scheduled to be banded on 7/11/08 and I wanted to find support groups in St Louis. I'm in North County and I would like to meet other "banded brothers and sisters" and make new friends.
Chris61 0 Posted June 27, 2008 Welcome to the group and good luck with everything. I have heard that Dr. Wagner is very good also. My wife and I are almost 10 months out and it is the best thing we have done. Just keep in mind slow and steady is the way to go with weight loss everyone is differant in how fast they loose. Our doctor likes to see 1-3 lbs a week. and if you average the weight loss over a period of time you will see that it falls into that range. It is the best thing that both of us have done. If you have any questions just here or e-mail. Chris

You absolutly right about the slow and steady-it took yrs to "pack" it on and it will take time to leave it in the "lost and found". I'm sure I'll have lots of questions. Here's one-I have to crush my meds after surgery and last night I decided to try it now and i THOUGHT I WAS GONING TO DIE. I mixed it with Jello and my 19yr old said think of "FEAR FACTOR" but I had to spit it out. Then I mixed some in broth. I was able to drink 95% of it, but it was horrible!!!!!.:tt2: Any suggestions??? Vanessa
