Wevegottwins 0 Posted May 11, 2014 I'm 6 weeks post op and I've been at a stall for over 2 weeks. Not a pound lost in 2 weeks. I'm starting to get discouraged that I'm doing something wrong or not doing it right. I've lost 30lbs in the 1st 3 or 4 weeks but nothing since. What can I do to jump start the weight loss again? Not seeing a scale move in over 14 days is heartbreaking.
Bufflehead 6,358 Posted May 11, 2014 (edited) Without knowing what you are eating or drinking, I think it's hard for any of us to give advice or thoughts. But if you are following your doctor's plan, I would say just make sure you are getting all your fluids and Protein in -- more on both if you can -- and have patience. If you have a post-op team (surgeon, your surgeon's dietician, etc.) you may want to check in with them if you haven't, just to see. But stalls are pretty common and from what I can see, if you are on plan the only thing that breaks them is patience. It might be time to put away the scale if it is making you feel crazy! PS you have lost an amazing amount of weight in a very short amount of time. It's perfectly normal for your body to 'rest' for a bit and catch up with the new plan. I can pretty much promise you your initial rate of weight loss will NOT continue in the future so don't get attached to it.
