Sadly, Soup is probably all you can have right now. Or some hot tea. Even if you're in the pureed food stage, I can't think of anything that would fit that food stage that you could find on a Chinese restaurant menu.

Yum that sounds good.....I can't wait until I can start the mushy phase. I'm on full liquids through Wednesday. Doc requires 10 days. I'm dying to try that noodleless lasagna that I've been reading about lol..

I read this recipe and it sounded really good. I can't find the original one (the one that you bake in the oven) but here's this one.

No-Noodle Lasagna

This recipe is suitable for the pureed food stage.

Ingredients:

Low fat ricotta cheese

Spaghetti sauce (look for sugar free sauce)

Grated parmesan cheese

Directions:

Put two tablespoons of ricotta cheese in a bowl. Top with one tablespoon of spaghetti sauce and one tablespoon of grated parmesan cheese. Microwave for three minutes.

Variation: One you progress to the soft stage, you can add cooked ground beef to the lasagna if you like.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
