Sunrise07214 57 Posted May 11, 2014 I start my pre op diet tomorrow and they are expecting me to lose 30-40lbs before surgery! I'm nervous and excited about my pre op diet. I work in a group home taking care of MRDD adults and do a lot of cooking. I also cook for my boyfriend at home. I'm worried about cooking for them and not being able to eat any of it during the preop. Anyone have any tricks or tips for helping to not stray? Also are there any 20-25 pre sleevers/sleevers? I haven't found a whole lot of info on people my age (22) getting the surgery and their journey. Hope everyone is doing great! You all are looking more and more gorgeous everyday! Love following you all!

vasquezcm12 2 Posted May 16, 2014 Hello im 29 I had my sleeve on may 2nd. I was on liquid diet for 30 days because I was over weight for surgery. I also had to cook for my husband. It was very difficult. But my mind was on having my surgery. Cheating wasn't worth my being over weight forever. I lost 47 lbs on pre OP diet! Good luck you can do it 2 rajashri patil and GabyTovar7 reacted to this

Love following you all! Hi, I had a lap band placed in April/2008. I am scheduled for a lap band removal and a gastric sleeve on June 3rd. I am excited... I know that this will be the tool to help me loose weight finally. My doc didn't put me on a pre-op diet. He just told me to have only liquids the day before and nothing after mid nite. I am 40... And I've been battling obesity for the last 10-12 years. There is so much going through my mind.. Like, how will I look after I loose weight? How will my body look? I'm not worried that I won't loose weight.. I'm pretty confident, but I'm worried about complications, not loosing enough, how I will start to look.... Sounds silly, huh? Sunrise07214 57 Posted May 17, 2014 I understand completely, Resi. I'm only really worried about not losing enough or regaining. Also hugely on what I'm going to look like because I have been overweight my whole life. I'm excited to experience a bunch of firsts. Unlike some people who used to be skinny earlier in life I have never had that. Plus everyone who has ever known me has always known me as being big.

IfICanDream 28 Posted May 22, 2014 I'm brand new on here, but I'm pretty excited to find others getting sleeved on June 9th! I just turned 30, and I have been overweight my entire adult life. After countless diets and gains, I just finally decided that it was time to take the bull by the horns and go all in. So far in my pre-op diet I've lost 34 pounds. My eventual goal weight is 180 (currently at 298). I'm ready to get this show on the road! I love to hear about how all of you other June 9th peeps are doing! I agree no one understands that we've never been able to the simple stuff like the slim take for granted everyday. I'm glad I'm in my way.
