Bunnytoes 5 Posted May 11, 2014 Anybody in the Denver/Boulder area who has had bypass or is going through the process? I am currently going through the process of tests and medical dietary supervision in order to get insurance approval for my surgery. Would love to find pals in this area who are doing the same or have been through the process.

spainter2009 12 Posted January 18, 2015 I have not been working out I am just not motivited sometimes. What part of Colorado are you in? I have had some emotional stuff going on with all the weight loss and the different attention that it brings. I am starting to see a counselor to see if that will help. I started out at 334 pounds and now at 250. if you would like maybe can exchange numbers. I am Sarah
Lovebug2015 5 Posted January 18, 2015 Sarah I live in Denver. I want to congratulate you on your weight loss. I do workout 4 days a week for 70 minutes to tone up my body. I understand about the emotional issues and how others reacted to your weight loss. My husband at times makes stupid comments but I just ignore it and keep it moving. Do you have a fitness pal or fitbit? Yes I would love to talk with you on the phone we are in this together.
ArleneV 6 Posted January 19, 2015 Lovebug 2015- I had my surgery on 9/30/14. Started at 280 and am down to 237 this morning. Seems like other people lose weight quicker than I am, but I am happy as long as I keep losing. I need to get up off of my fanny and start exercising. That is the one thing that I always seem to be too tired too do or never have the time. How is everybody doing?
Lovebug2015 5 Posted January 19, 2015 Arlenev congratulations on your weight loss. Please don't compare yourself to others. We are all different stay focused on yourself. Your doing a great job and this journey isn't easy. The way I got motivation was my body began to look floppy and its scared me. I joined Orange theory fitness in December and I go 4 days a week. If I dont cancel within 6 hours they will charge me so the makes me accountable. I have booked three months of classes and set my schedule around that. I find working out in the morning is easier than evening. I recently bought a fitbit one and today I jogged and walked around the park to help increase my daily steps. If I can help you any anyway with daily check in or what ever you want please let me no.
spainter2009 12 Posted January 19, 2015 Love bug. Is it very expensive?
Lovebug2015 5 Posted January 19, 2015 Well yes and no. I use to spend so much money in fast-food and restaurants. Now I spend on improvement and fitness. Orange theory is good because we do cardio and strength training each time and you never repeat a workout. So its a group personal training session and I see results already and I just joined there weight loss challenge. I have never done that before and I am excited. I pay $129.00 a month for unlimited classes. Before that I went to 24 hours and asked about personal training they wanted 1500 and 750 down for 20 sessions. So thats another reason why I feel Orange theory fitness isn't that expensive for all of the great training they provide.
ArleneV 6 Posted January 19, 2015 Don't think I could afford the Orange theory. I can join the Lafayette recreation center for just $19.00 a month after my birthday next month as I will qualify for the lower rates. Even right now it's just $34.00 a month. I spend my extra money on massage therapy. My reward! lol
