Insurance confusion help!

I just got off the phone with BCBS Illinois. I was trying to find out if they cover the DS surgery before I go hog wild researching. They couldn't tell me definitively that it was included or excluded! Has anyone had experience with this insurance and were you covered? Thanks

did they want the procedure code? Most insurance copies should know whether or not that's covered...but maybe not each criteria

I have BCBS and live in Illinois I am on track to get the sleeve. Try calling again and getting a different customer service agent. Good Luck!

You may have to have a Bmi of 50

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately, I have a BMI of 51 so I guess that's oddly enough good news!
