Please see my post I just made 100% real. What is your goal for loss? Figure out the percent to goal... 27 pounds means nothing without knowing where you started. We are all different and comparing by numbers alone with torture you when someone shares they have lost 60 pounds in 2 months! Have faith and keep perspective :-)

You are on track for YOU, and that's all that matters.

That's 1/2 a pound a day!!! (a little more actually)...so think about it that way...

Everyone loses at their own rate, follow your guidelines and you will be fine.

My goal is to lose 175 pounds. Starting weight is 355. PreOp loss was 45 pounds. 27 since surgery. I now weigh 283 for a total of 72 pounds loss since I started this journey. I guess that puts me at about 40% of total weight loss needed.

I started at 347, lost 35 pre-op. I am 7 weeks out and have lost 25 post-op. Our numbers are fairly similar. I feel like a slow loser compared to many people who post but, honestly, I'm enjoying losing steadily but not having it be so in your face, if that makes sense. I know I'm eating what and how. Much I need to but I'm not doing great at Water intake so that's what I'm focusing on improving at this point.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
