or just eat the filling. I skip the shells now.

Even the hard ones are difficult to eat? I was thinking of making turkey tacos next week and give it a shot with the hard ones...I dont think I can eat more than one..even one is a lot...it will be 7 weeks next week...shall I skip the taco and just eat the ground turkey?

@RNBSN786 I was going to say the same as @piercedqt78 no need for the shell of any kind...ever ;) ... just have the fixings are you are "good"... enjoy... I really don't miss the shell (soft or hard) at all anymore...

All of you guys are on the same page...I should just eat the filling and skip the taco shell all together and have my mom have it.

i always (have) a Protein Bar or Peanut Butter crackers (nabs) with me just in case. (its in my purse, in the car etc)

so i am always prepared....but there are options choices at all stores (and some convenience stores now sell fruit and stuff) so there is really no excuse to not (eat better choice) items...

I eat the middle out of a snack wrap, hamburger, taco when I am on the run. I am almost 7 months out and do not eat bread or tortillias...they blow up and hurt my tummy. I also have tried the new Oscar Meyer Protein packs with meat, cheese and nuts. Very good and filling.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
