Imparted to when you had a regular size stomach what does it feel like when you are full. Do you feel the same as before. Are you constantly reminded that you have a small stomach? Can someone explain this to me?

I don't feel my new stomach. I can't really tell I'm full by my stomach. If I eat too much, it's like the food gets stuck around the chest area and won't go down right away. That's how I know to stop eating. Fortunately, I haven't puked any of it out, it usually stays down and eventually goes where it's supposed to go. It's the same with hunger, I can feel hunger, but it's not the same kind of hunger I used to have. This one is tolerable, I don't have to eat right away when I start feeling it. The hardest thing for me is not drinking during meals. Sometimes I just have to take a sip of milk or Water and if I overdo it, I feel it and it's not fun.

For me I get full after eating a few ounces. I feel satisfied, my stomach feels like I can't eat another bite. But I don't get that full bloated feeling like you can't move and feel like you need to unbutton pants.

I do feel a sense of satisfaction or fullness when I eat about 6 oz of food., even less when I eat meat. ( I am 5 months post op. ) When I feel full., I start disliking the food in front of me.

A couple of times I ate too much felt absolutely miserable. Of course eating too much now is a much smaller portion than before my surgery when I could binge and never feel full. I love my sleeve and what it has done to reducing my hunger. One thing you have to keep in mind is telling the difference between head hunger vs real physical hunger. It is important to know the difference since head hunger does pop it's ugly head sometimes. When it does, I check with my tummy and determine if I am physically .. When I get head hunger (mostly due to stress or tiredness) I decompress and don't feed my feelings.

My stomach feels no different, but when I eat, air constantly travels back up my esophagus and makes crazy noises! I know I am full when either the food feels like a brick or cramps in my stomach, or I start to hiccup. Being "hungry" is different as well. It is no where near as intense as it used to be. For me, I am loving the fact that after only 34 days I am already starting to feel differently about food. I was so looking forward to soft foods and eating this and that. Now two or 3 bites and it feels weird and I don't get the pleasure that I used to from it. Hopefully, I am on the track toward "eating to live" not "living to eat".

I no longer enjoy the feeling of being full. In fact, I find it quite icky. I don't mean overly full, just regular full.

As soon as my nose starts to drip, I know that I need to stop, or I will hit full. I feel the "full" feeling of tightness much higher than before. It used to be that unbuttoning my pants would relieve the pressure, now the feeling is much higher and in the middle of my sternum. (No, taking off my bra does nothing! :D ) It almost feels if I have a huge burp stuck and no amount of walking with shake it loose.

I don't like it.

My experience is exactly the same, right down to the drippy nose. Truly full is quite uncomfortable, and something I try to avoid at all costs.

I love the little hiccups and burps that tell me when I need to stop eating, before I get a feeling of being full. When I overeat, or when I eat too fast, I get that uncomfortable feeling and STOP eating. Only once did the uncomfortable feeling last overnight. I was at the hospital all day with a friend who was sick, and I do not get hungry. However, if I am sitting home bored, I want to eat. The only difference is I go get a SF popsicle or a few nuts. I no longer feel like I am depriving myself and I no longer head to Taco Bell.

I get a tightness in my chest when I'm full. It isn't painful, but it is warning not to eat even one more nibble.

When I get hungry it feels more or less like it used to, but I don't get hungry often. I'm 5 months out so I can usually eyeball a correct portion.

I feel a tightness in my chest, it also feels as if I take another bite it won't fit down my throat, like it's literally going to come back up right away, I made the mistake in taking another bite after feeling this fullness and I felt physically ill for about 2 hours. This is how we learn.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
