NYCVSGGirl87 24 Posted May 22, 2014 Hey everyone. I had my pre-op visit today and was told that I have a hiatal hernia that needs to be repaired. My doctor will fix that at the same time that he performs the gastric sleeve surgery. I am nervous but I am glad that this issue is being fixed and hopefully, it will alleviate my GERD. How are you doing it and what are you doing?? Our pre-op diet is only 1 day!! We have to do Clear Liquids the day before and nothing after midnight. That's all. I think they will do it on the day I go in. I wasn't given a pre-op diet to follow, I just have instructions to have liquids only, the day before. Lap band SW:233, lost 30lbs Current wt-246 Goal weight-150 How long ago was your lap band? Is VSG a sleeve? I have my sleeve on June 3rd and just required to do liquids 24 hours beforehand too. I'm looking for a pen pal of sorts. Maybe someone to exchange emails with to help keep me sane through this process! Anyone interested?!?
