Hi it's been 2 weeks since my operation and for the last week my weight is a complete stand still. Is this normal? I only have 400 - 600 calories. Please I'm feeling a little depressed. I know it's a slow journey but I haven't dropped anything in the last week:(

My friend at work had it done with her husband. He keeps losing. They're 3 months out and she's down 50lbs and he's already close to 100lbs! She was like you in the beginning . But 50lbs in 3 months is outrageous! Totally awesome!

Mix it up a bit. Jack the calories up to 1000 for a couple of days and then back down. Step up the cardio with the higher calories. And stop worrying. In fact, get used to it, stalls will re-occur lots more on the way to your goal. ;)

Amandasaouma - I am in the same boat. I am almost 4 weeks out and have only lost .5!lbs in 2 weeks. It's really frustrating, I know! Many tell me that our body is going through a lot right now and sometimes this happens. Keep at it and it will turn around. Hang in there!

Search '3 week stall'. In the search function on forums. All the discussion you could ever need on this point is within there.

Don't freak out. Happens to all of us. Some, sadly, more than others.

And I wouldn't mess with your calories just yet. You are only a few weeks out, and you need to follow your doctor's meal plan. There is no way you'd be able take in 1000 calories at 3 weeks out.

FORGETABOUTIT! Just don't focus on the weight loss and it will start coming off again. Happened to me too.

After seeing all the three week stall posts I admit I still panicked a little lol. I am trying to have faith that logically you can't follow this plan long term and NOT lose.

Wow thank god I'm not the only one. We'll I appreciate everyone's comments and all of them have helped. I've only been walking 10 - 15 mins cause I get soooo dehydrated that I just want to skull a massive bottle of Water and I don't think that would be a great idea lol.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
