Few days post op breast lift w/out implant

Recommended Posts

Had a breast lift w/out implant 5 days ago. I love the fullness of the tops of my breast, but when I took off the bandages the bottom/underside of my breast look somewhat deformed. One side looks like a cone with a flat bottom and the other side is somewhat flattened as well. Is this from the compression bra and bandages?? Will they end up looking normal?? Is it normal to have some deformed looking shapes at first?? PLEASE if you can help answer this do so as soon as possible. I'm freaking out a little.

I had a breast lift without implants too. After my breast lift, I remember it takes a little time for them to shape up and look normal. Be sure to express your concerns with your plastic surgeon.

Thanks sweet pea. I go Friday to have my sutures removed and I'll definitely say something then. I'm just really nervous about how they look at the moment. Not that worrying will do me any good. Lol

Yes, do not worry. They can look scary and lumpy at first, but somehow they form round and beautiful.

I have had two breast reductions. I was a 42HHH. Managed to go down to a DD on the first one. but gained 60 lbs , so the got bigger again. Had another reduction 5 years after and am now a 38C. I am currently over 260lbs, will be having RYN next month. With both surgeries it was very lumpy, hard and deformed looking. I jokingly called them "Frankenstein-boobs". But both times they softened up into a very lovely round shape. You will start noticing it with in the first two months. Keep wearing your support garments.

Thanks jules75!!! Any feed back I can get helps. I just didn't think to ask ahead of time if they would come out perfectly shaped immediately. My brain tells me that they'll smooth out and eventually look normal, but then there is the side that is freaking out. So your encouraging words help a lot!!

There is a healing period and your body and breast will adjust to surgical lift you had. I agree it is extremly important to talk with your surgeon and ask questions too. I had one when I was younger, the funny thing is how sensitive my breast are after all these years.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
