Omg I'm 2.5 mos out I've only lost 35 lbs, I feel great, I had to buy new clothes too. My calves still look like Arnold Schwarzenegger's!

I figure my legs are powerful from carrying all this around so they'll be muscular ;-)

I have lost 55 pounds, but mostly face, boobs, and arms. My belly is down some but the shape-shifting makes it hard to decide what size I am. My feet are way thinner, so I guess I am holding the other 50 pounds in my now drooping belly and thighs.

I can certainly agree with this. I'm 2.5 months out...have only lost 25 lbs, but 53 since I started my 6 month pre-op diet. I am sagging all over, but the only place I can really tell I've lost weight is my chest. My legs are still huge, as are my hips. My tummy is sagging and right now, I feel like it goes down to my knees. We didn't put this on in a month or two, so I'm guessing it won't come off that quickly either.

One nice thing...I used to be very flat chested but when I gained my weight, I had boobs. I would try to eat dinner and my boobs were like a 'flavor saver'. It's so nice not to have boobies fall into the Soup anymore. lol

I'm experiencing the exact same thing with my arms. Because of their sagginess, inch wise, they're completely unchanged. I think if I raised my arm up towards the ceiling, there'd be a difference. Boo. Everything else is shrinking. I measure every two weeks, and the loss is astonishing. Even when I'm stalling.

I've lost 124 in 10 months and I can say that my thighs are till huge. But my calves are looking much better. But they didn't start looking better until I added running and 5k running/walking training and T25 workout program into the mix. I just started noticing the difference a couple weeks ago. You'll get there but it might just take time.

Good Luck

My waist and hips seem to be slower at losing inches than other areas--and it means pants size is also slow, so pants fit really strangely in some brands. Some I can wear two sizes smaller than my preop size 6 weeks ago, others it's just the same! I know I tend to return to brands that have fit well in the past, but these days I have to be sure to try on different brands and different shapes/cuts/styles -- since as one poster wisely said above, we are shape-shifting!

I think we all have those stubborn areas. For me, my arms still look pretty fat and even though my waist has gotten much smaller, I still have a pouch below my navel. In some ways, that pouch is worse now that I'm thinner because with the top of my waist (like from under my breasts to right above my navel) being so tiny, my pouch sits out like a baby bump.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
