Can't wait for feet to stop hurting!

Recommended Posts

I have terrible pain in my feet from carrying all of this weight around. Carrying around 350lbs really hurts, especially when I work out hard or walk a lot. Just wondering when the pain goes away.

I got cleared for surgery today and am waiting to be scheduled!

I am doing a 5k on 5/22 and dreading it because my feet are going to hurt so badly. Any thoughts or tips??

I feel your pain! My best advice is to buy the highest quality running shoes you can & wear them even when you're not working out. My feet hurt more after being bare or wearing slippers! Also, get compression socks. They really help. Finally, soak your tootsies in warm Water with Epsom salts, contrasting with ice water to get the circulation going (5 minutes in each, and do each twice). Bonus tip - get regular pedicures and pay extra for an extra 15 minutes of massage. As for at what weigh your feet will feel better, I can't help you. I'm still pre-op. Good luck with everything!!

The foot pain is a gradual thing. The more you lose, the less your feet will hurt. Just 20 pounds can make a really big difference. I used to have knee and hip pain all of the time. I've lost 40 pounds and now the pain is gone. I still have a little pain going down steps but it is so much better than it was. Also, my feet have gotten smaller. Some people were ecstatic about that but its a bit of a problem for me. I measure a size 7 and sometimes a 7 1/2 and my feet look too tiny for my body. It is not a good look. My shoes are looser and Im fine with that. Some people have said they went down several shoe sizes when they started losing weight. That should help with some of your foot pain as you shoes won't be so tight. Good luck and as the previous poster said... get the best shoes you can and wear them... it will eliminate foot related problems. The professional pedicure is also a great idea. It gets the blood flowing and makes you feel sooooo good. And of course you are worth it!!!

I had severe plantar fasciitis prior to surgery. The pain began to subside after two weeks post op. Currently the pain is about 90 percent improved since surgery and I'm a little over 3 months out.

I hear you on feet pain! I began to notice it a few months before my surgery. I used to be an active runner, but when you're running with a lot of extra weight, not only is it not any fun, but your feet hurt SO much. I noticed my feet stopped hurting gradually and now I rarely have any foot pain at all. Good luck with surgery! :)

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
