Hi my name is George I am 34 years old, I had sleeve surgery done on 4th November 13 (6 months ago) . I weighted 180kgs 2 weeks prior to surgery and now 125kgs and still loosing. I walk everyday 40 mins, clothes fit better , self confidence is higher. Life is so much easier with less weigth!! I currently loose between 700 grams and 1.5 kgs per week. It is very important to watch what you eat now and don't go back to old habits( witch I'm sure we all know about) . If anyone has any questions please feel free to ask!!

Wow - well done, you are looking great. Keep up the positive progress. I was a similar starting weight and only 3 weeks + into my journey and need to see updates like these and those reminders to choose what I nourish my body with as I can only have little bits :-) so have to choose wisely!

Thank you - inspirational

I have a question. I love to try new recipes and adding lots of flavor/spices to food. I'm afraid this is too drastic and that I'll miss out on all that I enjoy. Was this your experience?

Hi Beagle lover

Have you looked at different websites/blog like the world according to egg face? She has been post surgery for years and has great receipts on her website . Good luck!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
