I am 7 months out from my sleeve surgery. It's been a crazy road but I have no regrets. I started my journey with an infection in my liver which left me hospitalized for several weeks. I've overcome those issues and my liver functions are coming back. I'm down from 280 lbs. to 151 lbs. Gym everyday. 80 grams of Protein. Healthy solid eating. Water water water... yet, I still wake up several days a week with liquid bowels which causes me great weakness and nausea... like I have to lay on the floor kinda weak. I'm taking in 'enough' Fluid but I seem to dehydrate in a matter of minutes. I can't live like this- it's killing my positive vibe. I need suggestions on what to do to combat this issue. Thanks all!

Geez. Your stats sound amazing. But what is with your morning ritual??? What does your doctor say?

Maybe your doctor can suggest something. Wondering if there might be a lactose/wheat intolerance? Probably not if it's a first thing in the morning type of deal. Maybe too much Fiber? (Some of those Protein bars are killers...) Keep track of what you eat the evening before these episodes occur. Hopefully your doc. will have some ideas.

Feel better!

:)

Check your gallbladder, is the loose stool accompanied w/ pain? Is the stool oily? I know that sounds gross but I'm experiecing this as well and found out I have to have my gallbladder out.

I have liquid stools almost every day (really, since gallbladder removal 5 years ago!) but it never makes me feel weak. Annoyed, yes. Weak, no. Definitely check with your doctor, although I will say (sorry) that no doctor has been able to really help me with the "explodo poo" as we refer to it in my house.

Everything I read says this happens after the surgery. My DR says no. I'm freaking out. I don't want to be chained to a bathroom

Are you on a probiotic? If so this may be the cause. I have read that this causes more gas and bloating but can cause the runs as well.

Interesting. I had my gallbladder out when I was sleeved on 4/23 and I haven't had liquid poops at all!

I had my gallbladder out years ago. In terms of the infection iny liver, it came as a result of the surgery. I ended ip with abscesses on the liver as well. I was weeks in the hospital on many antibiotics. My doctor said he had never seen it happen before... lucky me. I am taking a probiotic, so thanks for the tip. Also, I do eat Protein Bars. Perhaps I will make some adjustments based on the suggestions you all gave me and hope for the best. Thank you!!!

have you ever been tested for diabetes? are you going to powder room more than usual. there are a number of things that could be going on with you. i think sometimes we just have ingrained in us that we will not over eat, and it carries on. I have a friend tut's 3 years post op. I recently spent a week with her and i literally have to remind her to eat. me on the other hand., i can always find something to eat. you had this surgery to take care of you….so do just that….go to the doctor if this does not change soon. keep us posted.

have you been tested for C diff? you need to talk to your doctor ASAP! you could have a serious infection in your intestines from all the antibiotics.

I just tested positive for c difficile 3 weeks post op. It's no joke. Been on meds since last Thursday and just starting to feel better. The meds make me very nauseous. I have lost 38 pounds since April 8th surgery.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Am feeling this right now. My surgery date is 4/1. Sign the consent tomorrow. I feel like I overloaded myself with too much info, too many opinions. Got to the point where I was wondering if I should do this. Then I thought of my reasons for taking this step and that settled my nerves. Still get moments of doubt but am striving forward. Am just going to follow my book from the surgeon. Joined this because I was told by my dietician that I should do this for support
