Ok so Im 2 1/2 weeks postop. Ive lost 19lbs total, which is great! But I didnt think I would come to a stall so soon. Ive been stuck on the same number for a week now. I sure hope I lose this week.

Anyone get their first stall this early? If so please share and how long before you got off the stall?

TIA

I did as well. Then again at 6 weeks. I just has a two week stall and I now have lost 2 more pounds the last two days. Keep going. Your doing great! :)

You will get over this bump on the road. The stall likes to come when it feels like it but it doesnt stay forever. Trust me I know the frustration gets to you. Just know that this doesnt mean you will not lose again, because you are. Stay focused on the prize and this stall will pass soon. Good Luck on your journey!

I know this post is old. But I’m pretty anointed as well. I’m only 1.5 weeks post op and I’ve stalled all week. I’m still only on liquids. In fact, I gained a pound. Why so early???? I’m practically starving. I guess I just don’t understand the science behind it. Nor did I know a stall happens this early. Everyone always talks about the dramatic weight loss early on and then the stalls come. I’m not even two weeks post op. I guess this is the reason they say not to weigh yourself. I am pretty frustrated.

After the second stall, 10 weeks post op, see a 4-5# loss afterwards. So am learning patience and making good decisions. Just got to eat all foods and was nervous at first but realize it is still ensured Portion Control and after a year of Noom, preoperative, will eat good 80% of time, 20% can be higher fat. Still obtaining from anything not zero sugar.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
