DaddyMarie 291 Posted May 5, 2014 So I have surgery on May 7th... I'm hoping I don't start so I'm on my period in the Hospitol... Has that happened to anyone? Do they cancel surgery? Aunt flow is irritating!!!
StayingStrong 78 Posted May 5, 2014 I thought I was going to have my for the surgery but didn't. My surgeon's office said it was fine. No tampax just pads though... They also put those hospital pads under you in case there's any mess. Good Luck!!
BRG 39 Posted May 5, 2014 I timed my surgery so that I would be right in the middle of my cycle to avoid this problem.
Bluesea71 698 Posted May 5, 2014 I get my period every 29 days like clock work. So according to my calendar, my period should have came and gone several days before surgery day. Well guess what? It was 5 days late and started the morning of surgery! While in the pre-op room, they had me take out my tampon and handed me a towel to put down there. It was no big deal to them. It WAS a pain to deal with post-surgery in the hospital while hooked up to the IV.
