Premeire different at BJs

Recommended Posts

So, first case of PP was from costco and had the silver tab and a nice thin consistency. Just joined BJs and they have same drink but now has resealable opening. Opened my first one yesterday and was very think and hard to drink. Anyone else have the resealables and find them thick?

I always buy mine at Sam's Club. But I know what you mean about thickness. When I first starting drinking them they weren't anywhere near as thick as they are now. So I pore the container into a glass, add ice and thin it out with Water.

I have been using PP for months now. I did try the ones with the resealable caps once and while I did not notice them to be any thicker, I did feel the taste was completely different. I returned them and only get the ones from costco.

I've only ever drank the resealable ones. I didn't think they were thick enough. So I toss in a scoop of powdered Protein mix before pouring it over ice. Yummy!!!

I had this happen with vanilla & chocolate purchased at Costco so thick almost like pudding. I called Premier Protein 800 number and they were aware of the issue and asked for the stamp on the shake lid and sent me a new case of each flavor. So now the new one has New improved flavor on the box. Thinner and much better.

I applied for Insure Nutrition as well.. They sent the prescription to my Doc, who refused it saying that Premier Protein is NOT acceptable by the in house NUT..Don't know if it is because they want you to buy the in office Bariatric Advantage, but i am doing my pre op diet & using Body Fortress chocolate. One scoop : 30 grams Protein, 170 calories.. A large container at Walmart $15.88

I think all RTD shakes are too thick and sweet. I mix my Premier 1/2 and 1/2 with milk and then they are perfect (and adds 10 more grams of protein)

Same as costco or Sam's Club.

I use costco last 3 years and I stick mine in a freezer for 3 hours to get them thicker. Just like a chocolate thick shake.< /p>

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
