LsoulRN 0 Posted May 4, 2014 I'm having gastric bypass surgery on Monday and I can't sleep. I also ate yesterday, and I was suppose to only have clear fluids for 48 hours. So nervous. What should I do?

ap248 5 Posted May 4, 2014 I totally can relate to the freaking out. I had my surgery a week ago tomorrow. That morning was really rough. I felt like an emotional wreak all morning. Just put your faith and trust into your surgeon. Everything is going to be fine. Remind yourself why you are doing this. When you feel ready to panic, take deep breaths and try to relax. The first 24-48 hours I found to be tough, but I have been off my pain meds since Friday and today walked 2 miles. And that is only 6 days post op... Stay positive! You can do this!!! :-)
