gomekast 559 Posted May 4, 2014 K ladies. I finally have tracked enough to see the trend. Each week out of every month I stall out. It's always the same week. Anyone found a way around this? Just when I get started on a good loss, bam. Girl week. Just wondering if anyone else has this happen to them too. Super irritating but oh well, I guess. Catherine707 253 Posted May 4, 2014 I noticed the same thing. I don't think you can really do anything about hormonal fluctuations except know that it is coming and keep doing the right stuff during that week. I find that my weight loss after my period is a little faster like my body is either catching up or dumping the extra Water. I choose to not stress over it because in the grand scheme of things the downward trend is really all that matters.
BRG 39 Posted May 4, 2014 I will be weighing myself monthly so that I don't get discouraged by things like this.
WhoKnows 288 Posted May 4, 2014 My guess is that if it's cycle related, it's just bloating or Water weight, which means you may still be losing fat, but not seeing it on the scale. Even if not, it's clearly not related to anything you're doing wrong. Are you measuring yourself as well? Your lower tummy may be bloated that week, but maybe you'll still see differences elsewhere? gomekast 559 Posted May 4, 2014 Giving nettle tea a try. It was recommended by someone on my Facebook page.
O-Town Body Rock 148 Posted May 4, 2014 I've been tracking my weight loss weekly so I'm going to see if I can find a trend.
snochick2005 172 Posted May 4, 2014 Women retain Water during their monthly cycle. You could try adding a natural diuretic during that week to reduce the Water retention. I put a 1/4 of a lemon in my water bottle, skin and all. It's a natural diuretic and helps water taste a lil better :-) 1 SoonergirlLayla reacted to this
Ava324 413 Posted May 19, 2014 I put a 1/4 of a lemon in my Water bottle, skin and all. It's a natural diuretic and helps Water taste a lil better :-) I'll have to try that! I get my girlie time twice a month now, so the water weight is real frustrating.
