But otherwise no prob. I know a lot of people will probably tell you different but my surgeon told me not to worry at all because liquid goes straight through you. Mine told me to drink as much Water and liquids as I wanted.
Recycled 2,182 Posted May 3, 2014 Relax, liquids typically go on thru without very much if any restriction. Things will change dramatically when you get to solid foods. Take advantage of the ease you can drink liquids and drink as much as you can. Lots of fluids is good for you. 1 ProudGrammy reacted to this
JerseyGirl68 1,172 Posted May 3, 2014 Also remember that you are still swollen and numb inside and might feel more of a restriction in a week or so, how fast did you drink it?

Sloopyla 2 Posted May 3, 2014 I just posted a similar question on the forum and was referred to this one. This is very helpful because I'm 5 days post op and was worried that I was taking in too much at a time. Thank you!
Amy373 56 Posted May 3, 2014 I drank it in about 40 minutes.
Amy373 56 Posted May 3, 2014 I'm taking liquid Lortab for pain. 15ml every 4 hours and feel like I never had surgery! So happy to feel good. But also wondering what's wrong. Cause every weight loss attempt I have started I failed. 1 BeagleLover reacted to this

Cause every weight loss attempt I have started I failed. That's probably contributing to the ease, that numbs your tummy and may let you take in too much. I'd probably go slower than 11 oz in 40 minutes this close to surgery too. It'll all get figured out, also if you are feeling amazing you may want to start tapering off the Lortab because you could feel differently without it and you have to get used to getting fluids in without pain meds otherwise it'll be tough later. Don't worry too much though, just keep doing the fluids often and slowly! Good luck! 1 Amy373 reacted to this

But, if you are feeling good you can try to let up on it; it'll start to give you a feel for your real new tummy. It'll still be swollen so don't push it but I promise you will start to feel more full soon. You are just getting used to everything, everyone gets scared that they won't feel satisfied but liquids suck...it gets so much easier and much more satisfying as you graduate! Let your tummy tell you what it can and can't handle and don't stress...it'll all settle within a few weeks!

Beckyyb93 225 Posted May 4, 2014 scale says up 9 pounds! Deep breaths girlie...it's Water weight! Very common after surgery while your body is recovering. I promise it will come off so fast you won't even remember those 9 pounds!
Slimk 23 Posted May 4, 2014 I am on day 3 post op. I am able to get my Protein and Water in, with ease. My question is when will the abdomon swelling go down? Other than the swelling and rumbling, I am feeling good!
BRG 39 Posted May 4, 2014 I'm jealous of you all that can get all of your Protein in already! I'm 9 days post-op and the highest amount of Protein I have gotten in was 56 g. What are you drinking?
