Ingyrob, congrats!!! What a great feeling!

Bigbaby, I read daily. I'm here! I could annoy you all with daily posts!!

I'm slower than slow....but I get on exercise kicks and then peter out. Hmmmm maybe if I was doing better, I'd post more. I am sure everyone is sick of my "woah's me my band closed off" posts because I don't hear back, but it's definitely a real issue for me. So is self-control! HA! I would benefit from daily ass kickins!

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer. We got a new (used, new to us) camper and took it on a maiden voyage. We were going to the hot springs for one night, and ended up on a road trip to the coast for four days. I closed off completely...not sure why.....and couldn't swallow Water. I did the smart thing and stopped trying! The next morning, I could have Soup, juice, soup, etc., and was fine. The trip was heaven. We think we may head out this weekend. My tan is making me look thinner even if weight loss isn't!!

I am here too. I do read daily but not too much to say. I am going camping too in a couple of weeks too. I am looking to find if anyone knows of any good tasting premixed smoothie type drinks. We live out of a cooler when we are camping and milk spoils so fast in the heat.

The Syntax nectar powders that I mentioned a few weeks ago are stellar! I got mine from Vitacost.com.

I am here. Trying to read daily. Busy with the new house. It is amazing! We are outside all the time, we come in when it gets dark.

Weight wise I am stalled at around 190. But I am in a size 16, which is great for me after being barely able to find 32s that would fit. I am feeling healthy and energetic so I am not going to stress about it.

I hopped on my son's new bike yesterday and rode it around no problem. I may invest in one for myself.

I have dial up now, so the internet is slooooow. My blackberry is faster, so I am using that! Country living is worth it though!

Happy 4th everyone!

Glad to hear from EACH and EVERY one of you!!!! O2B--:Like all of you, I read daily--but don't always post. I'd love to hear about your daily woes!!!--That's what I'm here for!!!

I bet the "spontaneous" camping trip was fun. I use to camp when I was younger as a girl scout. Haven't been in years. Someone told me about a trail that's not too far from my house. I'm thinking about trying to climb them in a week or two.

HAVE A GREAT FOURTH!!!! I'm grilling turkey burgers and steaks.

Hey all. I'm Here! Of course, like everyone else, just been busy.

I also haven't taken my 1 yr pics... haven't been exercising or eating right. Lol. When I do eat right I have great restriction though.

Happy 4th!!

I'll try to get pics done THIS weekend...

So happy to hear of all your successes. Just 'overweight' is quite and achievement for us. As it halving your size Missy.

People probably aren't posting because they're no longer as dependent on lapbandtalk (we know the score now) or maybe because their weight loss hasn't been stellar (we don't mind. I haven't lost in months).

Hope all you Americans had a great 4th July.

I haven't been on and haven't been posting as my weight loss has been total crap. I tried so long to do it on my own and just couldn't. I finally got on the losing track after a fill in late April and then my mom got sick(er) in May. I've been taking care of her at home since May 31st and eating total sh*t.

She passed away Tuesday night (peacefully) at home with my father and I at her side.

So once the funeral is over and the crap (but verrrrry yummy) funeral food is gone, I will endeavor to get back on the horse, go get another fill and get going on this weight loss.

I only wish she could have seen me successful in losing weight while she was still alive. She'll see me from heaven, but then I won't get her reaction until I get there myself someday.

I'll try to post more frequently, I do read regularly, though.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend! Insub I think you are right on the slowing down of posting. But the site is still very important to me. I do read daily, just to see what everyone is doing. I think this is a life long journey, so I know I need the support of others who are on the same journey.

Faith - I know you can get back on the wagon and you know your Mom would want you to. I am sorry for your loss.

I am flying to Chicago on Monday. I have lost another 40lbs since last time I flew, so I am looking forward to maybe - just maybe needing to tighten the belt a little?? It is Southwest though, so probably not!

Faith I'm so sorry about your loss. My mom died suddenly from a blood clot after surgery 1 1/2 years ago, and I never got to say goodbye. I know some of what you're feeling. Your mom saw you on the road to health, and I'm sure she was proud of you.

Sorry about your loss Faith. I really hope you can start to get back on track. Your have still lost 44lbs which is not to be sniffed at. You will get there, I am keeping my fingers crossed for you. I have often wondered how you were getting on as we were banded on the same day. Good Luck

HUGS FaithMD. I am so sorry for your loss - you and your family are in my prayers.

It is so great to see people posting. I know it's just a really busy time of year. I still haven't taken my 1 year pic either.

I've been too busy painting rooms in my house, my friends house, hanging stuff, decorating stuff, etc etc. I figure I've been here 2 years it's time to get some stuff done!!! Besides, I have WAAAAYYY more energy than I did this time last year

Oh - and eating crap as well - why oh why does it have to go down so easily??!!?

So sorry for your loss Faith! I can't imagine trying to go on without my mom. You have my deepest sympathies.

As for me... I weighed myself this morning and am back up to 296!!! So thats like 25 pound gain from my lowest weight in May. I'm sooooooo frustrated and annoyed with myself. I eat total crap. Cookies, chips, etc.

Today I decided to get back on track... had a Protein shake for Breakfast, Multivitamin... had mid morning snack of yogurt, lunch of broccoli. But once i was off work I got ahold of some chips... and then at home hit up a canister of choc cake frosting! I ate about 1/3 of it. What's wrong with me!?!?!? I think thats why I keep putting off doing my 1 yr pics. I don't want to show the gain. I'd joined WW, but only went twice.. It just doesn't motivate me. I dunno... I need my ass kicked.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
