Suzzzie. 3 Posted February 2, 2008 Well, thank goodness I can still drown my sorrows in a huge vat of ice cream... My mom called me tonight and said that my dog is at the animal hospital. He is on IV fluids and antibiotics... if he makes it through the weekend he'll be on oral antibiotics for a few more weeks... worse case senerio - his raging urinary tract infection is really kidney failure and he'll need to be put to sleep, probably as early as Monday... I'm completely devistated. I love this stupid dog. I got him 9 years ago (rat terrier/border collie mix) and my mom has basically taken care of him for me for the past 8 years. (gotta love mom!) I think she is more upset than I am. He is such a smart and loving dog. Ok... Ice cream is gone. I'm just going to go to bed and hope he gets better before Monday! Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers! (His name is Asher, but I call him "Ashipoo" or "Poopoo Puppy")

insubordination 0 Posted February 3, 2008 NValicia - that's amazing. Congrats! I can't wait to reach that point myself. It's a way off yet but you are an inspiration for me. I have no internet at home still which is why I haven't been posting. I have also booked and paid for my year-long round-the-world trip. I leave on August 4. Only stopping in the US briefly (it's too expensive). I'm going to NY, Boston and Vermont (to visit a friend).
o2bthin 0 Posted February 3, 2008 Wish me luck....I got a .2 fill yesterday. Just a tweak. I'm still afraid of getting too tight. I could eat bread, sandwiches, pizza, eggs, rice...basically there was nothing I couldn't eat. I have gained back almost 15 pounds. Tight in the morning, loosey-goosey the rest of the day, frustrating enough to make me eat out of control, so I really needed a fill. My grandfather passed away on Friday. He was doing fine on Wednesday and I took him to the doctor to fill out some papers (health care directives) and he talked about hanging on until he had his will done, and we patted him and told him he wasn't going anywhere, and the doctor said the same thing. Well, he knew something that none of us did...a premonition I suppose. I will miss him desperately. When I got my fill yesterday, I looked EVERYWHERE for the Supreme bars. We surely don't have them in the area I live in...it's too remote. The only place that had them in the city (7-11 did not) was a sports place, and they only had TWO!!!!!!!!! I will definitely order them on the web. Thanks Stef. Gosh Stef, you better be more careful. Do you own a gun? Take care everyone!

TexasFire 84 Posted February 3, 2008 Here's the pnut butter ones. Supreme Protein Bar $27.08 They are now $25.97! I have searched high and low and never found them cheaper than $27 a box! I just ordered two boxes!
bcrazy7 0 Posted February 3, 2008 Did you order the last 2, because it says they are out of stock...
TexasFire 84 Posted February 4, 2008 &^%#! (Insert your favorite explitive here.) I ordered two boxes of the original carb conscious bars! Crap! Oh well...I'm out, anyhow...so I need them. I've come to the conclusion that the company must be hyping up the new Peanut Butter flavor before it is even available. And I fell for it. My final word on this subject is just that if you see they are actually available somewhere, anywhere...please let me know. In the meantime, I have The Vitamin Shoppe and GNC on alert for me, as well. GNC usually gets everything first, anyhow.

o2bthin 0 Posted February 4, 2008 Thank you big baby. Shoot is right Stef, I did the same thing, and I had just ordered two of the caramel ones off another site, so now I'll have 4. It says Peanut Butter is out of stock, but I filled in the box with "2" and it just went through. Maybe we will get the peanut butter ones. Wishful thinking. The good thing is my daughter uses them when she's doing sports, and I have hubby turned onto them too, so I will probably end up having to hide them. beckiet 0 Posted February 4, 2008 Suzzzie, any word on Asher? I'm thinking of you. I know it's not tough. I had to put my angel pomeranian "Wendy" down while in a high-risk pregnancy and try not to get upset...that didn't quite happen - nearly 3 years ago. Just wanted to let you know I'm thinking of you. O2B, I am so sorry to hear about your grandfather. My prayers go out to you and your family. I go to the doc today. Going to see if I can get a tiny fill. I think I'm about to the sweet point, but not quite. I'm scared of getting over-filled, but I know that at the rate I'm going, maintaining basically, I'm not going to get anywhere. o2bthin 0 Posted February 5, 2008 Beckie, what do you call a tiny fill? I had .2 Saturday and so far so good. When I got overfilled it was .6. I asked my arnp to show my the syringe and I asked her if that little made a difference. She said some tweaks are as little as .05. One half of a 10th of a cc. Wow. Good luck getting the sweet spot too!
o2bthin 0 Posted February 5, 2008 Did anyone watch Oprah today? Did you see the doctor that the first girl was hugging in Tijuana? That was MY doc!! That's the clinic I went to....everything the same. They were awesome!

Good luck getting the sweet spot too! Hi, Rhonda! Well, I ended up getting 1/2cc so that puts me at 3.5 cc in a 4 cc band. We'll see how it goes. Today, of course, I'm on Clear Liquids and since it's been so long since my last fill (end of Sept.) I was horrified thinking I'd be hungrier than I am...I'm amazed! So far everything is going down okay. I've only had 6 oz. of pineapple juice and 3 cups water/crystal light today. All, I read a neat article today on sparkpeople and I had to share it: 12 Tips to Drink 8 Cups a Day If you're having trouble getting in your Water, this is a good article. I had already bought myself a half gallon water jug that I keep by my side nearly 24/7. But the second tip mentioned stickers on the bottle...and I thought...why not? So now my little clear plastic half-gallon jug also has some beautiful stickers and some rhinestones on it...a little Bling to Drink.
