Hello Junies:

I got a fill last Wednesday and stayed on liquids for 2 days and mushies for 2 days....now I think I'm too full. There's a bad and a good side

:cryBad Side

Someone had posted about Kashi Lean Cereal, so I went and purchased some. I tried to eat a cup yesterday for Breakfast and ended up throwing it out. For lunch I had 1 Gordan's fish fillet....I went and majorly slimmed twice!!!! Tried to eat some squash and zucchinni (sp) for dinner. After 3-4 bites I was in the bathroom...sorry!!!!

Today I tried a half a cup of cereal--took a few bites and threw it out because I was full. For lunch I have had an Activia yogart and LiveActive cheese slice and South Beach Protein Bar...I am burping like CRAZ-EE and I'm full...I feel it in my chest.

:)Good Side

When I weighed last Wed, I was 230 lbs. Today, (less than a week) I am 224.5. I'm torn...I'm thinking about enduring this until I can get under 200lbs. At this rate it won't be long....

:cryQuestion: Those of you who have been too tight...Am I panicking? Will it loosen up in a couple of weeks or should I see a doctor now?

PLEASE RESPOND

O2BTHIN...I'm sorry to hear about your dog

BigBaby - I can't speak for anyones fill but my own...

My last fill I got (6 1/2 weeks ago) was tight to begin with - it was tight for about the first 3 weeks, then loosened up a bit. At first I couldn't even eat more than 3oz yogurt... even drinking Water was a bit painful and would make me slime.

Now, for the past 3 weeks I feel like I'm at a perfect fill. At my last appointment the NP wouldn't give me another fill, and I said "No problem, I don't WANT one!" I can eat anywhere from 1/2 cup to 1 cup food... depending on what it is.

So, will your fill loosen up? Probably. Can I promise that? Nope.

You have to decided what you're willing to live with and put up with. Yes, the weightloss is great when pounds are falling off every day, but you aren't able to get in your Protein and other nutrients, so that is a very bad thing.

Baby, I'm in the same boat as you, except I didn't do the liquids and mushies, I was able to eat so I did. Now, restriciton kicked in and I'm waaaaay tight. I know that in the past, my fills have loosened way up after 2 weeks, and then I can eat way too much, and don't have restriction 90% of the time, so if I can tough this out, I'm going to. I'm struggling with liquids though, and last time this happened, I gave in after 3 days because I was dehydrated. If I'd stop eating solids and let it calm down, I might be doing better.

Thanks for the condolences about my dog Baby and Suzz. I'm just a mess about it, and I'm sure I'm trying to self-medicate with food. Gaaaahhhhhh!! I just miss my baby so much and the family is so hurt too.

Suzz, I WANT a Body Bugg!! I'm so jealous! Have fun with it and tell us how the calories add up to loss. Are you inputting all your intake as well?

o2bthin - Yes, I input my intake calories. I just put in allm y food manually, cause I am cheap and buy generic (mostly Walmart brand) foods. ANd some newer foods aren't on their lists yet, so like today for lunch I;m having Progresso's new WW 0 point Soup, so I had to add it in the food log and tell it how much a serving was, calories, fat, sodium, carbs, Protein, etc...

Its such an awesome program really. Until I put in my Protein Shakes that I make every morning I never really added up the calories for it! Its been over 500 cals! Wow! So I looked at it today and adjusted it to make it about 100 less calories.

You can also see where all of your calories come from - whether you're getting them mostly from carbs, fats, protein, etc. It maps it out on a pie chart thingy. I totally love it. I can really see why so many people love this gadget! If anyone is motivated by numbers and such this is THE thing to have.

Thanks Suzz and o2bthin...I think I'll wait 2 weeks and if I'm still too tight, I'll get a slight unfill. Water isn't painful...I just feel like I'm too full to drink it...However, I'm sure going to sip it all day...I certainly don't want to become dehydrated.

I was looking at the Bodybugg online...was I looking at the right thing? Is it about $500.00? It sounds really interesting...is it very complex to work?

Oh Bigbaby!! I got mine for only $229.20!!!!

www24hourfitness.com - somewhere on that page you can click on the bodybugg - I think its in the lower left hand corner. They sell then for $349.99 (bodybugg.com sells them for $399.99)

Then... 24hourfitness has them on sale for $279.20...BUT when you go to the check out page you can enter the coupon code BLC24 and you get $50 off the sale price and pay a whopping $229.20!! It truely works! You get a 3 month subscription to the online service (which you have to have, btw) and 2 phone sessions with a B coach to help you out with any questions and get you acclimated to the system. I promise you its not hard though. I got it all figured out and I'm not that smart! Haha!

I don't know how long this coupon code is good for!! It's already been out for about a month now, so if you want to jump on this deal I suggest you do it pretty quickly! It's nearly 1/2 price!!

Oh, and the nearly $500 thing - you were probably looking at the bugg with the new wrist-watch like display. FYI: the display is currently back ordered for a few months, so don't bother ordering it now. Just get the bugg and get going. Lol. The display just makes it so that you can look down at it anytime during the day and see your calories burned. It would definitly be handy, and I want one badly, but there are peopl on the bodybugg thread that have them and don't use them. (I'm trying to see if they'll sell me theirs cheap! Haa!)

Baby, I'm with ya on the waiting thing. We'll suffer together! LOL coffee and Water is going down with a pause and then trickle, so I'm happier. I got my pills down too with no effort. My band is very irritated though, because I pushed it. I'll be trying some Soup later, thin soup, and take my Vitamins. We have to be patient to get our sweet spot, aye?

Off to the Fitness.com site! Thanks Suzz. Merry Christmas to me, Merry Christmas to me......:o

Hi All, I talked with my doctors office today and scheduled a fluoriscope for tomorrow. I'm excited. I will finially find out why I'm gaining instead of loosing. I found lately I can eat more than I should but still hungry after 3 hrs instead of the 5 I should be going for. Thanks for all the advice from all of you. I really love this site. You all too. Thanks, Sheila

Sheila - My NP says to eat every 3-4 hours. So I take a light string cheese, a yogurt, etc and have it between meals. Once you go so long between eating anything your body goes into starvation mode and you'll start gaining weight. Don't be afraid to eat 6 small meals a day.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
