Jenuine629 24 Posted May 1, 2014 Is that allowed in the post op phase for Protein benefit in a smoothie? Can it be digested? Curious...
Jenelle 141 Posted May 1, 2014 I had a problem with Peanut Butter post op. My surgery was April 10 when I was allowed soft foods I tried the reduced fat peanut butter to get the extra Protein. The first time it sent me running to the bathroom and the second time it just sat like in the middle of my chest for hours I couldn't sleep I hated the feeling so I won't eat it again for a while. But everyone is different. 1 Jenuine629 reacted to this
ladyraerae 20 Posted May 2, 2014 I have used the powdered PB2 in my shakes and it's been working great in my post op phase. No problems at all. 3 Jenuine629, NMJG and Time4Kindness reacted to this
kyleebean 209 Posted May 2, 2014 I tolerated Peanut Butter fine, and still do. The only thing is it causes me acid reflux but I take Prilosec everyday anyway.... but if I forget and eat Peanut Butter, it's like a fire in my esophagus. That said, it's also a trigger food for me....so I have to be super careful.
NMJG 1,266 Posted May 2, 2014 I second PB2 in shakes.< /p> 1 Time4Kindness reacted to this
DeniseNCC1701 306 Posted May 2, 2014 I also like PB2 in shakes and frozen popsicles. But I have to stay away from regular Peanut Butter. It goes down too quickly, and is a trigger food for me as well. If I had a jar in the house, it would be gone in 3 days. Be well… 2 linda hayes and Jenuine629 reacted to this

Maltese gal 63 Posted May 6, 2014 How much PB2 do you put in your shakes?
ladyraerae 20 Posted May 9, 2014 I usually put 2 tablespoons in my shakes which are normally about 12 oz. I will warn u not to try to eat the PB2. I made the mistake and gave into a craving for Peanut Butter and made a tablespoon of peanut butter in which I decided to eat. It hurt so bad I felt like I had swallowed rocks. Lesson learned! Jenuine629 24 Posted May 9, 2014 Can someone tell me...since I'm fairly new to all of this, what PB2 is?
MIPoohbear 6 Posted May 9, 2014 It is powdered Peanut Butter which you add Water to. I do some slices in it. Our in powdered form pit it in shakes. It's not bad!
jujubslim 95 Posted May 9, 2014 PB2 is a powdered Peanut Butter Protein. Good source of protein without all the fat. I found it at Walmart where the peanut butter is 1 SliminDownThick reacted to this
Kindle 8,667 Posted May 9, 2014 I used PB2 in my shakes immediately post op. Now at 4 1/2 months I add a little Water to the powder to make it normal Peanut Butter consistency and eat it with apple slices as a snack. Mmmmm. 1 SliminDownThick reacted to this
