debi1501 0 Posted April 12, 2007 Hi, I'm new to this site, just checking out what everyone has to say about the band. I went to the doctor last month and I just got a letter from my insurance company saying they'll pay 90 percent of my surgery! I have all my appointments already made but I'm still a little nervous. Anyone sorry they had it done?
SElaine 3 Posted April 12, 2007 Hi Debi! I'm fairly new here as well. I just found this sight a few days ago. I'm happy for you that your insurance will cover most of it. My insurance won't pay anything. How long is it going to take you to go through the process? Do you have a surgery date yet? I'm hoping mine will be in May. All of my pre-surgery requirements will be met 4-24 and then I can schedule. Good luck!
mema 0 Posted April 12, 2007 Welcome! I have had my band less than a month. But I would do it again in a minute. I have no regrets. Good luck on your journey. mema
Kat817 19 Posted April 12, 2007 I have had mine almost a year, and I would be devastated if something happen and I lost it. My life is so much better it is hard to convey the changes! My health is back, my energy is back. I am buying size 14 pants, not a 24! I LOVE my band! I am able to eat most anything (I can't do yeast donuts---they made me sick)---I just eat it all in small amounts now. The only thing that would have made my band experience any better were if my insurance had covered as well as yours is!!! Good Luck! Look around, read up on several posts, and ask ANY questions you have---Welcome!!! Kat
debi1501 0 Posted April 12, 2007 I don't have a date yet but all my appointments will be finished on 05/10 - but that's if they don't require me to do further testing. I'd love to have the surgery before summer gets here. I've been reading so much on this web site - I just love it - so much information - so little time to read all of it!
