Mrs.Fox 32 Posted April 30, 2014 So, things have been getting bk to normal since the April 25th sleeve. Last night I was even able to sit up long enough to feed my 2 toddlers dinner. THEN I SCREWED UP BIG TIME.... I guess with all the normalcy around me, I forgot that I had just had surgery & put a forkful of Tomato basil Pasta in my mouth.... When i swallowed I IMMEDIATELY remembered, bc it severely HURT going down. I got so SCARED. The noises my stomach was making sounded like a garbage truck! I was pain for about 2 hours, from ONE forkful of pasta. Has this happened to anyone else?
Teachamy 1,042 Posted April 30, 2014 Nope. But the good news is...you won't do that again! 2 Mrs.Fox and ProudGrammy reacted to this
Recycled 2,182 Posted April 30, 2014 Reminds me of the first few days when I would grab a glass of Water I had sitting around and take a huge gulp into my mouth and then in a split second after it registered......spit it back into the glass before I swallowed it.......... It takes some time to get used to the routines..... 1 ProudGrammy reacted to this

one_more_time 145 Posted April 30, 2014 (edited) Yes ma'am... It's been almost 3 months for me ... and I am STILL having to remember that certain foods... I simply can't not have any more. There have been countless times.. I've had to spit out something I was drinking or about to eat because it was too much for me to handle. Chewing has been a bit of a struggle too... because I want SO bad to swallow as soon as I take a bite of something. Like you if I swallow the wrong thing or swallow too prematurely it can haunt me for hours... and keep me all night. Also... waiting to drink at least about 45 minutes to an hour after I eat has also been difficult. But I have found it is very necessary in order to ensure that all of my food has digested and the liquid won't cause a clogging episode. Mrs.Fox 32 Posted April 30, 2014 You guys are awesome! ❤️❤️ thanks for responding. And I'm glad I can be the guinea pig Lol! You know, I was reminded last night that the whole reason I chose the sleeve is because I lacked the WILL POWER to stop mindless eating. I eat as much as my kids do when I'm SUPPOSED to be feeding them, smh.

That is going to be my biggest hurdle, learning to CHEW instead of Bite & swallow!!!!!
