I was allowed Peanut Butter, but it had to be natural, on day 8. I just ate a tablespoon of it by itself and it was fabulous! Today I mixed a tablespoon of it with a little chocolate Protein Powder and it was even better, but it was really thick. At this stage I'm also allowed skim milk, so I drink about two ounces with the PB to get it down.

After 4 wks of liquids only, PB was what I was craving the most. I ate it right off the spoon! So yummy. Was afraid of chunky (what I usually buy) so I ate creamy. Almost just as good. U can certainly add it to smoothies, Protein Shakes, sf pudding, and right off the spoon.

One my nut gave me was to mix two tablespoons of pb with one tablespoon vanilla Greek yogurt. Not to be eaten everyday as too caloric. But tasted really good.

Well, I ate mine with a spoon. :P But I only ate the creamy version, I was afraid that if I ate the crunchy type, the little pieces of peanuts might get lodged in my staple line.

P.S. I never mixed mine with anything - I like mine straight up!

Yes, all natural Peanut Butter on purees for me, but small amounts -- no more than 1 tablespoon per day. I mixed mine with Greek yogurt or cottage cheese. I know that might sound strange but it is delicious (to me anyway!). I still do that occasionally - just a little bit ago I had a spoonful of peanut butter stirred into a half container of Yoplait Greek 100 apple pie yogurt. Yum!

Yes, especially PB2, just mixed with a little Water. A spoonful is a nice treat when you need a bite of something yummy. Comes in regular and chocolate, get it at Walmart in the pb section.

I mix Peanut Butter with my shakes all the time! Gives it extra Protein and it is so yummy! Just be aware that it adds calories and fat. :)

I had to wait until week 5 to eat creamy pb. And my nut had me wait until I was out 3 mths for crunchy pb and I would eat it plain or with 1/4 banana.< /p>

I haven't tried it in my puréed stage yet, but jiff whipped Peanut Butter is to die for! It's a lot lighter

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
