Oh yes I agree it's a love affair with food and agree we need to end this affair and I am ok about never eating this way again I know it's for the best!

I was always skinny as a child 73kgs was fat for me, after getting married had 2 kids and have never been able to keep the weight off it's been a 20 year struggle for me I am 40 now so want to enjoy what I have left before I am just an old hag lol

My daughter is 8 and always says I wish you were skinny mum! It's my fault she says that because I am always complaining I am fat outloud

Hey Guys....what a gorgeous day today!!!!!

I have been sooooooo busy but it's all good....having the biggest clearing at home since the flood and rebuilding and clearing is so good for you I swear....it's therapeutic!!!!

I have been so busy I have been forgetting to eat which is not a good thing I know....because of this I have not lost weight in the past week.....I need to remember to help my metabolism along.

I have been doing so much physical work that I get side tracked and it's late afternoon before I start feeling a bit dizzy and I realise that I have forgotten to eat all day....bad I know!!

I have my daughters 18th horror theme party this Saturday night.....still so much to do to make it look SCARY!!!! ;)

Anyway how is everyone else going?? :D

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
