RNBSN786 206 Posted May 10, 2014 I'm 3.5 weeks out. I make sure that I introduce new things when I am not at work or going anywhere. My week 2 I could have runny oatmeal and cream of wheat. Both were fine. I could have unsweetened apple sauces, mash potatoes, no sugar added yogurt (I ended up using Yoplait 100 greek vanilla) and cottage cheese (did not try). I was good with all of them and using the baby spoons really helped. Week 3 I added scrambled egg, and canned tuna/salmon. I added a little light mayo and despite the fact that I don't like tuna, they were ok. Week 4 I got to add soft Pasta and did mix the tuna with it which worked well. I also had a perogie since it's pasta and mash potatoes. Flaky white fish is my big addition and I've tried it out several times. Not a big fish fan but trying to make it work. I can also have soft veggies, fruit, Beans etc this week. I'm also eating egg salad and boiled eggs now. And Hummus on a few crackers. My week 4, 5 & 6 are all the same. it seems like we are on the same diet. I have not had any pasta, had a few bites of bread but my body doesn't seem to like it. So I have been mainly eating Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, flaky fish, ground chicken, some nuts, eggs, hummus on some crackers and some soft veggies. And I also did have a slice of pizza which took me a long time to eat. I am liking the soft stages of food for now.
lisavz 12 Posted May 10, 2014 (edited) Amy, what kind of crackers are you having with the hummus? I have hummus in the house but didn't know what to eat it with since there are no carbs at my 3 weeks 2 days post op. Thanks Edited May 11, 2014 by lisavz

II ate about a 1/4 cup of great northern Beans for lunch today, along with about an ounce of turkey, a couple cooked baby carrots and 4-6 cooked green beans (I'm a sleeve patient, 6.5 weeks out) and i have had such a "full" feeling since. I don't feel I have room for any more food even though 6 hours have passed. I've only eaten a total of 450 cals and 55g of Protein....all under what my nutritionist recommends. Do you think the beans is what caused this incredible "full" feeling?

terry1118 1,274 Posted July 4, 2014 For reference, would you folks describe your portion sizes? In the beginning maybe up to a 1/4 cup. Now I can eat 1/4 to 3/4 cup, depending on food density.
pookybear 284 Posted July 6, 2014 Ahh this is another instance where my program may be a bit different than others. My stage 3/ puréed stage consists of cottage cheese, scrambled eggs, fish or chicken canned. Fruits and veggies as long as they are the consistency of baby food. It's interesting how different each programs requirements are. This is how my program was. I didn't have a 'puree' phase, I had a soft foods phase. I was allowed tuna or canned chicken if it was moist enough. My nutritionist told me I could eat pretty much anything as long as I chewed it to the consistency of applesauce.
