JessicaAnn 564 Posted April 29, 2014 (edited) Almost 10 months out and 102lbs down with about 50 to go. Started the gym about 5 weeks ago and haven't lost a single lb since. I religiously log every day and eat about 1000-1200 calories to day and burning about 800. So I'm netting about 200-400 calories per day. Should I be eating some of those calories back? DarbiMolly 188 Posted April 29, 2014 When you do resistance training you build your muscles. Muscle weighs more than fat. So this doesn't mean you get bigger, you should be "smaller" in size (tighter, some people may say) but you may say the same or weigh a bit more in some cases. Try to guage how you feel in your clothes or actually measure yourself, including your thighs and calves and see how you are in a few more weeks.
NMJG 1,266 Posted April 29, 2014 I agree, you may be losing inches instead of pounds right now. Just stick to your plan. You are likely at a plateau, which will pass. Just give it time. I would not increase calories if you want to lose more weight. 2 ProudGrammy and DarbiMolly reacted to this
livvsmum 2,369 Posted April 30, 2014 I agree with what the others have said. Definitely take your measurements. Do you see a nutritionist at all? Perhaps they could give you some specific information based on your food logs as well.
