Healthymama2 32 Posted April 29, 2014 I am one week post op, still on clear/thin liquids only. Every time I drink more than just a sip or two, I notice that I get an uncomfortable pressure in my lower chest/upper stomach area. I wouldn't call it pain, more like a tight feeling, almost like if you have swallowed something too large. Then usually a giant burp and I feel better. I have never burped so much in my life. I feel like a giant baby, drink a couple of ounces and then burp, drink some more......burp. Anyone else have this? Normal? Do you thnk some gas x would help with this? 1 Mikee57 reacted to this

lisacaron 5,075 Posted April 29, 2014 What's going on is totally normal at your stage of the band. You could be swallowing a lot of air when you are taking sips of your Water. Especailly if you are drinking from a bottle. Try getting tiny medicine cups and drinking from those they will help you learn how to take tiny sips and not gulp the fluids. Gas-Ex or Beano will help but get used to the noises your body makes as you will be honking and tooting quite a bit. 1 Mikee57 reacted to this

delove32 91 Posted May 4, 2014 The hubby was laying in my lap after dinner, my stomach was making noises! He asked if I was still hungry! That was too funny!.. I can always feel it but had no idea you could hear it!
