MrsPJ 43 Posted April 29, 2014 I am scheduled for my first fill next week. I was banded 2 1/2 weeks ago and started soft foods like fish, yams etc. I have found yesterday and today that I am able to eat a lot more than I want to. I had pan seared scallops and spinach with wild mushrooms. I had about 1/2 a cup of veggies and 6-7 medium sized scallops then wanted something sweet. Come on fill appt! I have been doing to well to go back now!!! 2 2muchfun and Mikee57 reacted to this
Mikee57 699 Posted April 29, 2014 MrsPj...our appetite does get stronger as we heal and since there is nothing in the band (most of the time) and the swelling goes down it makes it more bandster hellville. but just try to remember portions, eat slowly, chew, chew, chew and no drinking while you are eating...then you'll be fine. the first fill or the 2nd really hasn't done much for me, but have read on here it does for others...so I am wishful thinking that it helps you out. but don't beat yourself up...TMF often says those first few weeks are merely a diet with a band. I am three months out...and get my 3rd fill next week, hoping it works...so hang in there and remember we are here to help see you through on your new journey. however, remember most importantly that if you are having issues the first person you need to be talking to is your doctor or his office staff!!! best wishes and looking forward to hearing from you soon. have a great day!!! 1 2muchfun reacted to this
MrsPJ 43 Posted May 7, 2014 Thank you Mikee57! It looks like your band is working greatly for you! I am hopeful that this fill will give me the little boost I need to loose some more weight! My husband and I are getting back to our workout regimen, so I pray that helps even more so. i am thankful for the little bit I've already lost. I already feel a slight confidence boost. Well, here it goes. Cheers to us and a smaller waist line! Lets get it
