pat fitz 44 Posted April 29, 2014 I was cleared for swimming 1 week after surgery. No lifting for a month. I was able to do treadmill 2 weeks after surgery. Definetly don't want to push it too soon and cause any damage inside or out. I was bummed at first. But glad I waited. I am 17 weeks post op. I have lost a total of 180 lbs. 65 pre-op. 115 post-op. Cool your jets Diva.......your enthusiasm is great, but you need to ease into the more rigorous exercises. There is still quite a bit of healing going on in there. So at 2 weeks I was told not to lift more than 15 lbs so I can do little 5 lbs weights and I can walk use the treadmill and use the elliptical.
