Turbosleeve 6 Posted June 12, 2014 I just had some scrambled egg whites... Heaven! How is everyone doing? My weight has stalled out for the past week and a half. Not really worried, just sucks. Clothes fit great which is how I'm gauging success. 1 Ozikiwi reacted to this
Lilypad16 4 Posted June 13, 2014 I had scrambled egg whites this morning with a tiny bit of salsa. Yum! It's the 2nd try on eggs and this went much better than the first time. Things are changing. I last 35 lbs prior to May 19th sleeve and have lost 18 lbs in less than a month. You're right to Celebrate how your cloths fit and how much energy you might have now. Get out and move. I planted 5 large plants in my yard. Let me just say, that was a full body workout. I lost 3 lbs in one day. I'm never going to garden again lol. What I've noticed recently is I now have elbow bones and knee bones. It's been a long time since I've seen them. Welcome back old friends. 1 Time1989 reacted to this
cherrytree15 78 Posted June 15, 2014 Hello all. I haven't been here in a while. I hope that everyone is doing well. I am progressing nicely. 21 lbs down and now the scale hasn't moved in a week. I can pretty much eat everything I've tried. No bread, Pasta, or carbs. I eat everything else. I couldn't do shrimp. My sleeve didn't like that much just sat in my chest. After about 4 or 5 bites. I'm full. I get about two ounces of food in. 3 meals a day, 2 Snacks. Averaging 550 - 700 calories daily and 60 - 75 grams of Protein. So far so good. 1 Time1989 reacted to this

I've lost 18 pounds (8kgs) and my scales haven't moved in nearly 2 weeks! I'm so over it....it's very deflating. I can pretty much eat anything, as long as it's soft enough. I do get hungry, but find I get full after about half a cup of food. Fingers crossed the scales start moving soon. They simply have to!

That's how you have to look at it:) so are you completely off Protein Shakes? I still have to do 2 a day, then 1 3 oz meal!
cherrytree15 78 Posted June 16, 2014 Thanks teemarie, I am working hard. I don't have to do Protein Shakes but I sometimes do them early morning because its easy or late evening if I haven't hit my Protein goal. But I seem to be getting the protein in ok. Sometimes 75 grams a day. I am now doing a spinach, Kale and scoop of Protein Powder morning to get some green in. Easier to drink than eat.
cherrytree15 78 Posted June 16, 2014 Yes I'm hoping that by the end of the week the scale will move. I got cleared for strength training so I'm in the gym 4 times weekly. That should help the stall,
Time1989 4 Posted June 16, 2014 I am 23 days post op. I don't track food and calories. What's the consensus? Is that important? Needed?
rome 156 Posted June 16, 2014 Honestly, right now I'm not really tracking anything except Water. I know as I introduce food I need to track more. The biggest thing for me is to be mindful of when I eat to look at it as a meal....hard to do when it's so little food! I am supposed to have 3 "meals" a day and shakes in between. I haven't been able to have the shakes, thus my Protein has been low. If anything I haven't been getting enough calories, protein OR water in. :-( I am glad that this is a learning journey and not a perfect journey. I have my one month appt. on Thursday and hope to get some more advice from the nutritionist.
teemarie1078 165 Posted June 17, 2014 The dreaded 3 week stall is upon me... Today is 4 weeks out, and down 32 lbs... 22 since surgery , but scale hasn't moved in 5 days! Hoping I wake up tomorrow with a loss Other than that... No issues, feeling pretty good, 1 more week to soft foods!! How is everyone else doing? I do find it a hard time getting all my fluids in now that I'm eating purée... Because of having to wait 45 minutes after eating to drink .. I guess thAt will get better with time ! xojessny 11 Posted June 17, 2014 You have to wait 45 minz to drink? I thought it was a half hr!!!
CaraT2014 4 Posted June 17, 2014 Teemarie, I'm with you. I was 306 on surgery day and I've been weighing in at 282.9 for the past several days! I try to look at the fact that I was 324 before beginning the pre-op diet to make myself feel better, but 23 pounds in 4 weeks doesn't feel like enough! gswags 11 Posted June 17, 2014 Maybe it's that weight??? I started pre-op at 306, was 293 on day of surgery (May 20th) and about 12 days out was at 282. I stalled for 10 days to two weeks. In the last week I've taken off about 7 pounds. It was frustrating, but reading how everyone stalls, made a difference. I'm glad to be on the other side of the stall. Oddly enough, but probably coincidental I ate something I shouldn't have last week out of frustration and it seemed to kick start me. Of course that made me feel guilty so I burned it off The following day by bicycling 6.5 to 7 miles. My advice is listen to the experienced ones, they've all gone through it and eventually move forward. Plus all will say they were still losing in other areas. Finally you don't see anyone writing I stalled at three/four weeks and stopped losing never to lose another pound! . That also speaks loudly at least to me. Good luck, I can't wait to hear about the end of your stall.
