Warning! Potassium in the IV...

If u hear them say after drawing blood that u need a potassium drip, let me warn u....it will burn like crazy and they already know it. If they try to administer at 100, tell them u want less than 75, 60 was a lil better..

It burned and I screamed so loud everyone came running...then the nurse says, u took all ur pain so well that I thought u can handle it. Then proceeds to say how no one can handle 100...smh

Wow, that's really medically unethical. Next time tell the nurse she's fired and let them assign you to someone else with a brain. I am speaking as a registered nurse. K+ is typically run at the rate the patient can tolerate. It's nasty.
